Our Home Phone service keeps you connected whether you are calling locally or across the globe. No matter where they are in the world, we make it easier than ever to connect with the people that matter most in your life.

Step 3:

Once you have decided on the services that best suit your household, please fill out the form by clicking the button. Once our Customer Service Team receives the form, they will send you the appropriate service agreement for your area. 

Step 4:

Westman staff will contact you to set up an appointment and walk you through the rest of the steps that will be required. To create an account, we will need the following information:

  • Legal name
  • Date of Birth
  • Contact Number
  • Government-issued photo ID (Drivers License number or Passport number)
  • SIN Number (CRA mandates us to have your SIN for tax purposes as we are a Cooperative, and you will earn equity with us.)
  • Physical Address

We understand the anticipation and excitement surrounding the arrival of fibre-optic internet in Wasagaming. However, it is crucial to prioritize precision and quality to provide you with a reliable and advanced network. By breaking the deployment into phases, we can focus on delivering exceptional service to each service area while managing resources efficiently to meet the specified timelines.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and support as we work tirelessly to make fibre-optic internet accessible to all residents and businesses in our Wasagaming service area.

Phase 1 - Completion in November 2023:

We have completed Phase 1 and have brought fibre-optic internet to downtown Wasagaming in November 2023.

Phase 2 - Completion in January 2024:

For Phase 2, focused on all cabins west of Columbine St., we are currently projecting a completion date in spring 2024. However, please keep in mind that this estimation is subject to external factors that might impact the deployment schedule.

Phase 3 - Timeline To Be Determined (TBD):

Phase 3, which extends our fibre network to the campgrounds, is currently in the planning stages. While we are committed to expanding our coverage, the timeline for Phase 3 remains to be determined. We assure you that we are diligently working on the necessary preparations, but its completion date is contingent on various factors that may affect the deployment.

 

Westman is a local cooperative that has been proudly supporting the development of the communities we serve for over 40 years. Westman invests each member's equity back into its operations, enabling us to add new services, provide local programming and employment, and generously support its members and their communities with sponsorships, scholarships, and free educational television programming. Westman is proud of the many lives we have impacted, either directly or indirectly.

Yes, with Westman, you will be getting Fibre to the Home (FTTH), which typically raises the value of your home by an average of 3%. We will be investing nearly $2 million to bring High Speed Internet services to your community. Westman has invested $30 million over the past five years to ensure our members receive the speeds they are paying for. This has enabled us to offer the fastest residential Internet speed options in Manitoba since 2013 and have the infrastructure and capacity to deliver even higher speeds in the future. We provision our network to deliver the speeds that we advertise, and as an FTTH community, you will have access to the fastest speeds available (up to 1 GIGABIT) in the province.

We have a dedicated, local customer support team available to assist you 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00p.m.. We have 40 broadband technicians to be dispatched if a home visit is required to address service issues that can't be addressed over the phone.

Digital Cable TV is fibre-connected to your home, which is a dedicated line that allows us to offer you high-quality services with minimum interruptions and no buffering. You will not experience weather interruptions, so rest assured you can enjoy your favourite shows during Manitoba storms. There is no need for a satellite dish on your house, so you will never need to experience cleaning the dish off after or during a storm to pick up a better signal.

Our Westman InfiniTV Android box is the ultimate viewing experience designed to simplify your life by making your TV smarter and accessing entertainment easier. It allows you to enjoy Westman live TV, Video on Demand, and all your favourite streaming entertainment apps in one place without toggling devices or switching TV inputs.
