Executive Management

David is a Chartered Accountant who holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Manitoba. Prior to joining Westman in 1995, he was the senior finance and corporate planning executive with a large transporter and supplier of natural gas in Saskatchewan. As well, he has had extensive consulting experience in the Calgary offices of two international consulting firms. David's industry and community contributions include:

Shep holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Economics) and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Manitoba. After gaining many years of management experience, in order to broaden his financial skills, Shep completed the Certified Management Accountant program and currently holds the CMA designation. Shep has worked in the financial services industry in both private and government sectors and most recently, in a senior finance role in a privately held food processing company. Leading the finance responsibilities at Westman Communications Group, Shep is responsible for the overall financial management of the business, ongoing business process improvement, and the strategic evaluation of current and future business ventures.


John is responsible for Customer Care, Westman Business, Community Programming, Marketing and Sales. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Master of Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Western Ontario. His career started in the natural resources industry and then shifted to the telecommunications industry for the past 15 years. John has worked for several of the country’s largest telecommunication providers and has experience in wireless, Internet, video and telephony.
