Westman Communications Group (WCG) hosted a charity barbecue event in St. Claude on August 24th, 2023. All the proceeds went to the Mile 60 Park Committee, an initiative chosen by the residents of St. Claude. After a matched donation from WCG, the event amassed $11,230.70.

WCG served hotdogs and smokies at St. Claude’s Mile 60 Park from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. There were no set prices for the BBQ, as residents were asked to donate whatever they liked. Thanks to the community's overwhelming support, participants donated a total of $5,615.35, which WCG then matched to bring the total donation to $11,230.70.

“We’d like to thank Westman Communications Group for putting on this charity barbecue,” said Mile 60 Park Committee president Tyler Green. “With the proceeds, we hope to offer public Wi-Fi across the park, from our campground to our event centre. That’s all possible because of Westman and the service they provide in town.”

“WCG is proud of the continued success of the Connecting Westman Tour,” said WCG Marketing Manager Brandi Crowe. “Hosting these charity events allows us to raise funds for important causes in our communities and meet the wonderful people we serve. The response and enthusiasm of St. Claude residents was fantastic to experience, and we’re so glad that the community came together for such a worthwhile initiative.”

After visiting four additional communities this summer, the 2023 Connecting Westman Tour has concluded with this stop in St. Claude.
