Westman Communications Group (WCG) hosted the Connecting Westman Tour’s Charity Drive-In Movie Night on September 24th. The event was organized in collaboration with the Keystone Centre and Heritage Co-op. With attendee contributions and a matched donation from WCG, $1,163 was raised for the local nonprofit Family Visions.

“WCG is thoroughly pleased with the reception received from our first drive-in event,” said WCG Marketing Manager Brandi Crowe. “The Connecting Westman Tour continues on as we implement new ways to connect with our members and support important initiatives such as Family Visions.”

The Connecting Westman Tour is a community-driven initiative that serves WCG-connected communities and the initiatives that matter most to local residents. During the summer, the Tour provides fundraising events through charity barbecues. The fall Drive-In Movie Night was a continuation of the Tour in which WCG members in Brandon voted on a charity initiative to receive all funds raised at a screening of Top Gun: Maverick.

Family Visions is a Brandon-based nonprofit organization that provides support and hope to adults living with intellectual disabilities through advocacy, education, and quality support services. “We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Westman Communications Group Movie Drive-In event,” said Leslie Morden, Executive Director at Family Visions Inc. “These funds will go a long way in helping us provide exceptional services and create a higher quality of life for those in our care.”

Recently, WCG announced the winter continuation of the Connecting Westman Tour in the form of the Connecting Westman Tour Loge Box. For more details on the Tour, please follow WCG on social media.
