As a local cooperative, Westman Communications Group (WCG) is known for its role in their communities' growth by supporting initiatives and providing a brighter future for the communities and people within them. That is exactly what the #ConnectingWestman Funding Program provides.  In 2022, the #ConnectingWestman Funding Program funded $26,000 to local school-driven initiatives that will help provide a better future for the next generation of Manitobans.

Souris School, Birtle Collegiate, Holland Elementary, École Macneill, Swan Valley Regional Secondary School, Kirkaldy Heights School, Prairie Mountain High School, and Treherne Collegiate will all benefit from this year’s program. Initiatives in these communities range from a score clock in the gymnasium to playground enhancements.

"This is the second year we have run our #ConnectingWestman Funding Program, and we are pleasantly surprised by the participation." said WCG's Chief Customer Officer, John Quail. "There are many deserving school initiatives, and we are already looking forward to next year's #ConnectingWestman Funding Program. Congratulations to all this year's recipients."
