Troubleshooting: TV Pixelation or Poor Quality

If you're experiencing pixelation or poor picture quality on your TV, follow these steps to fix the issue and get back to enjoying your favourite shows.

1. Check Cable Connections

  • Ensure all cables are securely connected:

    • Verify the coaxial or HDMI cable is properly connected from the wall to your set-top box.

    • Check the cable going from the box to your TV to make sure it’s plugged in tightly.

    • Confirm the power cable is securely connected to both the set-top box and power source.

2. Restart Your Set-Top Box

  • Power cycle your set-top box to refresh the connection:

    • Unplug the cable box from the power outlet, wait 20 seconds, and plug it back in.

    • Wait a few minutes for the system to reboot and see if the picture quality improves.

3. Switch to a Different HDMI Port

  • If you’re using HDMI, try switching the cable to a different HDMI port on your TV.

    • You can also try using a different HDMI cable to rule out a potential issue with the current one.
