Troubleshooting: TV Pixelation or Poor Quality
1. Check Cable Connections
-
Ensure all cables are securely connected:
-
Verify the coaxial or HDMI cable is properly connected from the wall to your set-top box.
-
Check the cable going from the box to your TV to make sure it’s plugged in tightly.
-
Confirm the power cable is securely connected to both the set-top box and power source.
-
2. Restart Your Set-Top Box
-
Power cycle your set-top box to refresh the connection:
-
Unplug the cable box from the power outlet, wait 20 seconds, and plug it back in.
-
Wait a few minutes for the system to reboot and see if the picture quality improves.
-
3. Switch to a Different HDMI Port
-
If you’re using HDMI, try switching the cable to a different HDMI port on your TV.
-
You can also try using a different HDMI cable to rule out a potential issue with the current one.
