Scholarships

Brandon University

Westman Communications Group has committed $1,500 annually for a Computer Science scholarship, and along with Star FM and CKLQ, Westman has created a new scholarship of $2,674 per year to a qualified Brandon University student in the Music Program.



Assiniboine Community College

Westman Communications Group, through WCGtv, has become an integral part of Assiniboine Community College's (ACC) Media Production program. WCG commits $1,125 per year to reward the excellence of a first year student from the Media Production program. ACC students work with WCGtv staff and volunteers producing community programming while earning credits toward their diplomas.

Westman's Award of Excellence Scholarship Program

Westman commits $15,000 yearly to fund 30 high school scholarships in the Westman service area. The $500 scholarships reward students entering technology-focused programs at Manitoba post-secondary institutions.

Westman's Award of Excellence Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  • Applied to, and been accepted at a Manitoba post-secondary institution to pursue studies in a technology-focused field;
  • Demonstrated proven academic excellence, for Senior IV;
  • Participated in school and community activities.
